Workplace Prayer #39

 “Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23: 6

Lord –

My spirit is willing to go to work every day and be excellent in all I do, but sometimes the flesh is weak. There is a weariness that tries to come over me and look for a short cut or easier path. These are the times I need You the most. Please recharge my batteries today. Give me an encouraging word to keep putting one foot in front of the other knowing that I am right where You want me and that the final outcome today, next week, next month, and a year from now is in Your hands. Help me to believe with all of my heart that You are in control and that Your goodness and Your love shall follow me all the days of my life.

Workplace Prayer #38

 “Accept one another, then just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” Romans 15: 7

Lord –

Bridge the gap between those called to the workplace and those called to church ministry. Help all Christians to see that the body of Christ is in the workplace and that You are using our gifts to minister on the front lines. Help us to accept the unique callings and assignments You give each one of us. Help us to remember that unity does not mean everyone thinking and saying the same thing. Unity means a love and acceptance of each other and an appreciation of our individuality. As I manage my team, let me appreciate the specialness of each person, accepting his or her creative style.

Workplace Prayer #37

 “Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7: 14

Lord –

People in this world are chasing after counterfeits instead of a relationship with the one true God. I don’t know when and how You are going to turn this around – but I know I need to make sure I am not a counterfeit when others are searching for the path to You. Help me to always know the truth, speak the truth, and reflect the truth in my behaviors. Do not let me be deceived to accept anything less than a truthful and open relationship with You.
